Business Dress 300x203 Business Attire: 5 Classy Ways to Dress for the OfficeDressing for work used to be easy. Both men and women would don a suit, preferably in a neutral color and they would be ready for a day at the office. But today’s office attire has changed with some organizations wanting professional attire, some going the business casual route, some allowing blue jeans on a Friday and some have thrown propriety to the wind and anything goes as far as fashion. For the man who wants to maintain a classy sense of style, there are a few things he should keep in mind as he dresses for the office.

Suits

If you work for a law firm or a bank, you may be required to wear a suit. Some guys will grab an off-the-rack suit with little care as to color and fit. But these are important aspects of dressing classy for the office. Make sure you choose your best neutral shade for a suit and stick to basics like grey, black or navy. A single breasted jacket with two buttons complements most shapes. Choose a complementary color for your shirt and no short sleeve dress shirts, please.

Tie

Classy men know the power of wearing a tie. Make sure it is one you tie yourself and leave the clip-on ties for the kids. Some guys can pull off a bow tie but on others it looks clownish. Know which look works best for you. Choose a solid color that compliments your attire or a pattern that is not overwhelming. Skip the cartoon characters on your tie unless you are a pediatrician.

Casual Fridays

You can dress with an elegant flair on casual Fridays. Choose a well-fitting pair of jeans in a dark wash and make sure they are clean and pressed. Skip tee-shirts and choose a Polo shirt instead like those offered by http://www.reemclothing.com/Mens-Clothing/Pearly-King-Designer-Clothing.html. Or forgo the jeans and wear khakis, pressed of course, with a navy Polo. Always wear a belt to complete your look. Keep your office attire clean and pressed and make sure you keep your business attire and your weekend outfit separate.

Shoes

Believe it or not, people notice your shoes. Make sure yours are always clean and shined. Choose a well-made pair in black or brown and you can wear them with most any outfit. Check the heels for wear and take them to a shoe repair store when they need replaced.

Accessories

Your accessories will really allow your classy nature to stand out at the office. Wear a tie clip or chain with your ties or add a pair of cufflinks to your shirts. Add a pocket kerchief to your suit jacket and allow a bit to peek out. Choose one nice piece of jewelry such as a contemporary watch and never overdo it with accessories.
